Pseudolestes Mirabilis

Pseudolestes mirabilis is an endemic species in Hainan, which is not only an undisputed rising star of the dragonfly kingdom in Hainan due to its rarity and unique facial attractiveness but also a star species admired by dragonfly lovers all over the world.

Habitat

It generally lives in streams, seepage zones and small waterfalls in forests below 1,500m above sea level. It prefers the inhabited environment with dark light and often stands at the top of plant leaves or branches.

Living Habits

Male Pseudolestes mirabilis, occupying territory at the edge of the stream, will have fierce fights with other males. When flying, it will tilt its abdomen and extend its rear wings downward.
