Located in the center of Hainan Island, Limu Shan has one of the tropical pristine forests of Hainan Island, and it is also the source of the three major rivers in Hainan, namely, Nandu River, Wanquan River and Changhua River.
The Bawangling branch (108°55'E-109°17'E, 18°48′N-19°12′N) ) is located in the southwest of Hainan Island, covering a total area of 211,687 acres. It borders Baisha County to the north and east, Changjiang County to the west, and Dongfang City to the south.
The YingGe Ling reserve (E109°11′29″-E109°34′15″, N18°49′18″-N19°06′29″) is located in the central and southern part of Hainan Island, covering a total area of 42,342.42 hectares.
WuZhi Shan is located in the central part of Hainan Island and gets its name from its waving peaks that appear like the five fingers. The mountain is densely covered with pristine rainforest with verdant greenery abounding. Most of the rivers in Hainan originate from this area.
Diaoluo Shan Nature Reserve, situated in the southeast portion of Hainan Island, is divided into a core area, buffer zone and experimental zone, covering a total area of 18,389 hectares. In January 2008, the reserve was promoted to a state-level nature reserve with the approval of the State Council.
Located in the southwest of Hainan Island, JianFeng Ling is the most typical, best preserved and largest pristine tropical rainforest ever found in China.
Maorui Branch of the Management Office of Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park is located in the junction to the northwest of Baoting County, southeast of Ledong County and southwest of Wuzhishan City.
